Book 1 in The Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S. Lewis.

Science Fiction Hall of Fame Award • Gandalf Award nominee • Prometheus Award nominee • Hugo Award nominee • Big Read List #9 (UK’s top 200) • The Great American Read #9 (Top 100)

When Polly Plummer meets Digory Kirke, he is very unhappy. His father is away in India, and he and his mother, who is very ill, have moved to London to live with an aunt and uncle. Digory is convinced that his Uncle Andrew is either mad, or has a very important secret. Though he's been warned to stay away from Uncle Andrew's study, he's heard strange noises coming from the room late at night.
Digory and Polly become friends, and because of the cold, wet summer days, they are forced to play indoors. While exploring a tunnel that connects their houses, the children accidentally find themselves in Uncle Andrew's study, and Uncle Andrew seems far too delighted to see the children. Uncle Andrew's experiment will send the children to strange other worlds, but an encounter with the sinister Queen Jadis brings evil to the land of Narnia on the day of its creation. Digory, meanwhile, may have a chance to heal his mother, but will he pass the test?

    Progeny: 1 USPS: 0

    1. Shipping - USPS failed in its tracking and shipping. The shipping said Progeny requested USPS pick up for delivery but never changed status. The order was made on the 28th of Oct and delivered on Nov 5. It seemed too long and the lack of (workable) tracking added to the unpleasant factor. 2. The workbook seems great. I will start implementing it tomorrow. I have read through it and it seems great. Thank you. 3. Progeny customer service was excellent. I called regarding the above issue and they immediately acted to resolve the issue. Great company!
