Book 1 in the Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S. Lewis.
When Polly Plummer meets Digory Kirke, he is very unhappy. His father is away in India, and he and his mother, who is very ill, have moved to London to live with an aunt and uncle. Digory is convinced that his Uncle Andrew is either mad, or has a very important secret. Though he's been warned to stay away from Uncle Andrew's study, he's heard strange noises coming from the room late at night. Digory and Polly become friends, and because of the cold, wet summer days, they are forced to play indoors. While exploring a tunnel that connects their houses, the children accidentally find themselves in Uncle Andrew's study, and Uncle Andrew seems far too delighted to see the children. Uncle Andrew's experiments send the children to strange other worlds, but an encounter with the sinister Queen Jadis brings evil to the land of Narnia on the day of its creation. Digory, meanwhile, may have a chance to heal his mother, but will he pass the test?

    C.S. Lewis Study Guide

A great supplement to a great book. I will be purchasing all the supplements that go with this series. Thanks to study guide's like these (and the time dad puts in with son) my boy gets A+'s and is academic student of the year. Fight the common core, it is certain to put children 2 years behind their peers who do not succumb to this liberal agenda. God Speed and God Bless!

I am always impressed with the quality of your study guides, the Magician's Nephew is no exception. The study questions are thought provoking and develop critical thinking skills. They make my job as a teacher rewarding and efficient.

    Very good study guide

Very good study guide covering vocabulary, reading comprehension, and "digging deeper" into the book. This is my second purchase of a study guide from Progeny Press and I'm very satisfied with it. Since literature is not one of my strengths I appreciate having something like this to help me homeschool my Jr. and Senior high students. Only thing missing would be discussion and then questions regarding specific themes, character motivation, etc. things that only a literature teacher would ask about. Maybe you do and I'm just not catching it, which is not out of the realm of possibilities.

    Excellent resource

After twelve years of home educating my children I finally bought and used a Progeny Press study guide. What a fool. I really wish I had found these earlier in my career..
The Magician's Nephew study guide was excellent for slowing my fast reading son down and helping him to go deeper into the book. The Digging Deeper questions, in particular, led him to examine his own heart in the light of what he was learning.
The digital format is easy to use too!
