Description

A mouse, a cat, and a cricket take a bite out of the Big Apple! Tucker is a streetwise city mouse. He thought he'd seen it all. But he's never met a cricket before, which really isn't surprising, because along with his friend Harry Cat, Tucker lives in the very heart of New York City - the Times Square subway station. Chester Cricket never intended to leave his Connecticut meadow. He'd be there still if he hadn't followed the enticing aroma of liverwurst right into someone's picnic basket. Now, like any tourist int he city, he wants to look around.
He could not have found two better guides - and friends - than Tucker and Harry! But Chester has a hidden talent and no one, not even Chester himself, realized that the little country cricket may just be able to teach even the toughest New Yorkers a thing or two.
A book filled with grand fun and enchanting illustrations by Garth Williams.

The Cricket in Times Square Study Guide

I used this study guide years ago and it was helpful. Unfortunately, when ordering the study guide again, I did not realize that there is a new edition of this book that has several changes. This makes some parts of the study guide obsolete. I was still able to use many of the questions; I just had to white out or cross off sections that did not line up with the new edition. It may be good to let those who order this study guide know that it goes along with the first edition of this book, not the revision. Or, perhaps you would like to update this study guide to work with the new edition. Just thought I'd let you know. Cindi McKee
