Coming-of-Age

(Showing 20 of 44)

Coming-of-Age novels tell the story of the inner growth of the child/protagonist, generally between the ages 12 to 19. The roots of this narrative theme can be traced back to the bildungsroman, or “formation novel.”

This emotional growth usually happens through struggles, pain, and necessary decisions that require maturity.
